North Bay Construction was a pleasure to work with. John and team are professional, ethical and extremely efficient. Our condo remodel included kitchen/bath renovation along with replacing wood floors throughout the unit. They stayed on schedule, paid attention to detail and we couldn't be more pleased!

John donated materials to my son's school for an art project, and even though it was not a contracting job, I was so happy with his professionalism and his time and generosity. He answered my emails right away and picked up the tiles for me so I could get them easily. It was such a pleasure interacting with him and his assistant. Thank you!

We just finished a four-month remodel project with John and North Bay and had a fantastic experience. John is a busy guy with many teams and ongoing projects, but somehow he always makes you feel like your project is his #1 priority. He is super responsive, attentive to detail, sensitive to your particular needs and timelines, and committed to ensuring you're happy with the final product. He chases down permitting with the City on his own time and dollar, advises you ahead of time and asks you to confirm when things go above budget (whether because you decide to do more/different work or unforeseen issues arise), sends weekly emails recapping what was completed that week and what will be completed in the next two weeks, regularly meets in person to discuss ideas and do walk-throughs, meticulously coordinates all of North Bay's subs, etc. We needed to move in on a particular date and John kept his word, making sure the work was completed on a very tight timeline. There were small touch-ups that needed to be done after we moved in, but John made sure they were done promptly. Mateo, the foreman on our project, was also fantastic. He and all the teams who worked on our house did beautiful work and were very respectful of our time and space. They never grumbled when we were super nit-picky (which was often), and approached everything with a positive attitude. Judit in North Bay's office is also great - - again, very responsive, professional, and thorough. Perhaps most importantly, the work North Bay did on our place is top notch. We feel very fortunate to have worked with them and look forward to future projects.

We worked with John on a large 6-7 month re-model project and had a great experience. John really took care of us during the project and after. All the work turned out great and since the project wrapped up he has been super responsive with any small requests that have come up. John is great and trustworthy guy that knows the business well. John Fox and his miracle team are awesome. We had a 2 bedroom & 1 1/4 San Francisco Flat that John and his team turned into a 3 bedroom & 2 bath (en suite) flat. We had dark paneling throughout, which we loved. We had contractors come in and say that it would be impossible to keep the paneling because it would be impossible to match. With John it never even came up as a challenge. We were so worried our home wouldn't retain the San Francisco feel that we fell in love with. With the addition of the bedroom and the new walls, you can't even tell where the old walls were, it looks perfect. He found a glass specialist who created a piece of art and solved a challenging design issue with the creation of the new room. John's communication skills are top notch and he follows through with what he says he's going to do 100%. Remodeling is stressful on everyone, but with someone like John - kind,honest,competent - in your corner it makes the process doable. We didn't have a designer helping us through the decision making, John was patient and his team helpful, my visions literally came to life. We are so happy with our results, and would use his team again in a heart beat with absolutely no hesitation.

We worked with John for a kitchen and bathroom remodel and he amazed us with the utmost professional service. Updates were communicated every week and it was clear he was on top of everything that needed to be done. He's extremely attentive to your needs and will stop at nothing to make sure you are happy with your home.

I was hired by our client to help her redesign her kitchen and to assist in hiring a contractor. John was the first contractor we interviewed and we were both so impressed that we did not look further! 

John made the job so easy for both my client and me. His trades are excellent and his in house team of Hector and Amanda are easy to work with and all such pro's. John's customer service is really what sets him apart. John is fast, very easy to work with, professional and always puts the client's best interest first. Reaching the level of detail and quality that I needed for my lower-floor remodel was high bar that they reached and exceeded, while staying within budget. The level of their craftsmanship and the sourcing the right subcontractors made a huge difference in the beautiful end results!.

We worked with North Bay Construction for our house remodel and couldn't be happier! Everything turned out as we envisioned. His crew was thorough, respectful, accountable, and super communicative. I had the pleasure of working with John and his team on 2 bathroom remodels, re roofing and building out a dressing room. As an interior designer, I appreciated the professionalism John employs in his business. He paid great attention to detail and more important than anything, he was on time and on budget. Amazing job! John, his crew and all the subcontractors absolutely exceeded expectations. We did a bathroom remodel and a serious house facelift (opened walls, refinished floors, new paint, new doors, new windows, updated garage). We knew from the start that John was honest and thorough and the person we wanted to work with just by reading his incredibly thoughtful and detailed bid for our project. We had started the project working with a designer who had no regard for our budget and designed a project that we loved but was way too expensive. About a quarter of the way into the remodel, we fired our designer and depended on John to guide us through the rest of the project. He helped us find beautiful alternatives of great quality that were a fraction of the price of what our designer had tried to make us buy. The work happened on time! We finished the project ahead of schedule. Everyone who came to the house was hardworking, friendly, respectful and did beautiful work. We are thrilled to be home and it looks amazing. We owe it to John! Thank you!

We hired them to do a six month full floor renovation that included:
- Home office with custom built in cabinetry
- Walk-in master closet
- Master bedroom with a modern wood/metal accent wall
- Fully decked out bathroom with marble to ceiling, steam shower, jet tub, Toto toilet, heated towel warmer, custom glass enclosure, & custom cabinetry to match office
- Replacing all windows on ocean facing side of house, including replacing custom crown molding and fixing siding leaks
- Hardwood floors throughout, matching original 1913 flooring

First off, they were incredibly polite to my neighbors, enough that many of them commented on how courteous they were and asked for business cards for their services. Second, they put up with my perfectionistic eye for detail and made the changes without complaint. Third, they provided an update every Sunday or Monday with a list of what they were accomplishing that week and any questions they needed answered from us -- very organized and transparent. And lastly, they provided a fixed bid that they kept to and for any change orders I requested, they meticulously sent through pre-approvals to ensure we were both on the same page regarding costs. 

I have another basement remodel project I likely will embark on in five years and I would definitely hire them again.

I've just completed a 4 month project with SF North Bay Construction. I could not talk more highly about John and his company and would extremely recommend both without any hesistation. Had a complete remodel of two bathrooms. Had the originals still in since 1928. Everything had to be updated. Plumbing elec everything. The end result is beautiful. John and Northbay were easy to work with. Always communicated what was going on. It took longer than anticipated, but some of that was us making changes or trying to make up our minds. He was easy to work with as we made these changes. Has all the suggestions to find products and his subs were great. Price wise came in at the middle

John and his team, alongside with our awesome designer Rachel Seldin were the crew who demolished our existing kitchen and rebuilt our kitchen and living room area to a beautiful, modern, open concept floor plan. The result is stunning and I cannot believe how different our home looks. John and his team were very communicative with every detail, something I really didn't expect from any contractor and always ensured that my husband and I were happy with every little detail. As with any project there were changes to the design and unexpected challenges but John was very flexible. He and his team have a very high level of customer service, they are in constant communication with each other and us always letting us know what the plan is.
